The exhibition’s organisers found two ceiling lamps inside a coil of steel wire in a rubbish dump. After taking a closer look at their discovery, they determined that it was a deformed figure of the goddess of justice (and fairness?). Careful restoration and straightening of the goddess’s disfigured lines led to the exhibited result. For some reason, the goddess is holding 19th century scales from a merchant house in the city of Tula in the Russian Empire. The head with the blindfold is missing. It can be used for its intended purpose — the scales are in perfect working order — or as an indoor light in cloudy or foggy weather.
